Home and Roof Inspection
You no longer need to put yourself at risk climbing a ladder with a hand-held camera or spending thousands of dollars on a single inspection from a full-sized aircraft. Armed with an Inspire or Atlas UAV platform, hundreds of high-quality images can be captured from the air.
These efficiencies are further enhanced using the DJI Zenmuse XT camera. This thermal camera allows users to fly over a home and pick up on the slightest temperature abnormalities helping to identify insulation issues and water damage. With problem areas identified and evaluated in advance, repairs can be carried out quickly and efficiently.
Solar Panel Inspection
Typically, solar panel systems must be shut down to avoid electric shock. However, with a drone no humans are at risk and the system can remain on. Our DJI Zenmuse XT thermal camera can pick up on temperature differences caused by solar panel cells not working properly. If any part of the system is worn down or has developed a higher resistance, the corresponding increase in temperature is easily detected so that you can fix the problem before it becomes a bigger issue.
With a UAV, inspectors can get a close-up view of powerlines without putting themselves at risk. Clear 4k imaging helps inspectors identify loose bolds and cracked arms on utility poles after a storm. Using this information, they will be able to assess what equipment is needed for the repair.
Thermal imaging cameras can identify corrosion, consumption, and breakage of electrical wires on a powerline. A bad connection on a line shows up as a clear hot spot in infrared image. A bad connection results in increased resistance and excessive temperature differences that can easily be detected with infrared thermography.
